President Rejects Solar Law - Compensation for Surplus Energy
President Christodoulides rejected the law passed in March by DIKO member of parliament Michalis Giakumis regarding compensation for households and small businesses for surplus energy from solar installations, returning it to parliament. The law provided for compensation payments by state decree. The president justified his rejection in a letter to the parliamentary speaker.
