Presidential pardon is not a conviction quashing
The Legal Service of the Republic of Cyprus has commented on the controversy surrounding a presidential pardon. According to the statement, a pardon granted by the President with the consent of the Attorney General constitutes neither a quashing nor erasure of convictions, but rather is a separate act of clemency.
