Presidential Pardon of Inmates to Relieve Overcrowding
On Wednesday, inmates from Cypriot and foreign prisons were released in a presidential pardon to reduce overcrowding ahead of the Assumption of Mary holiday on August 15. The Ministry of Justice stated that these were first-time offenders who met the established criteria and were listed on the corresponding list.
