Press report triggers government action – caravans removed in Larnaca
A press report about an administrative and environmental problem in Larnaca prompted authorities to take action. On July 21, the Interior Ministry conducted an operation in which approximately ten caravans and huts were removed from the coast next to the Nautical Club of Larnaca after their owners refused to vacate them themselves. Interior Minister Konstantinos Ioannou intervened following publication of the report.
