Press union condemns refusal to provide press information
The board of the Cyprus Press Union has condemned an increasing pattern of government and state officials refusing to answer press questions. The union warns that transparency, public information, and critical oversight of public matters are endangered. Specific examples include incidents on April 16 involving police chief Themistos Arnaoutis.
