Priest Convicted of Drug Trafficking, Later Works as Lawyer
A Greek priest was sentenced in Cyprus to five years in prison for drug possession (three kilograms) and two fraud cases, losing his clerical status. After his release in 2015, he changed his name, studied law, and worked as a lawyer until his license was revoked in 2026 for false statements during registration. The Supreme Court confirmed the decision.
