Processed Meat Significantly Increases Heart Disease Risk
An international study by McMaster University involving over 134,000 participants shows a significant link between processed meat consumption and increased risk of cardiovascular disease. Just 150 grams of processed meat daily noticeably raises the risk, while unprocessed red meat and poultry do not show this connection. The findings were published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
