Public procurement: Winners no longer only the lowest bidders
The European Commission wants to end the pure logic of 'lowest prices' in public tenders and proposes a new framework that weights quality, European preferences, supply security, and promotion of European industry more strongly. The legislative proposal was adopted by the Commission on Wednesday and must now be approved by the European Parliament and the Council.
