Reconstruction works on Digeni Akrita in Nicosia begin
The restoration of the underground rainwater canal beneath Digeni Akrita Avenue in central Nicosia began on Monday and is expected to take 28 weeks. The approximately 50-year-old canal had been damaged due to its age and increased stress, as stated by Constantinos Parmaklis, general manager of the Nicosia District Administration. The work will have significant impacts on traffic in the area.
