Regulation for parliamentary speaker election passed
The Cypriot Parliament passed a reform proposal yesterday in a plenary session to change the election procedure for the parliamentary speaker with 39 votes in favor, 8 votes against, and 4 abstentions. The new regulations were approved by the parliamentary plenum and thus come into effect.
