Rent Payments Only Possible Electronically
Effective immediately, all rent payments for properties in Cyprus must be made exclusively by electronic payment method, according to the Tax Department. The regulation is anchored in Article 48A of the tax code and was introduced as part of tax reform to increase transparency in rent payments.
