Rental Crisis in Greece: One Month's Salary for Apartment
A study by the Center for Liberal Studies based on 2024 Eurostat data reveals the untenable situation in the Greek rental market, particularly in Greater Athens. Rents have risen so dramatically that average households can no longer afford an apartment. In the Attica region, one already needs an entire month's salary just to rent a two-bedroom apartment.
