A major research project in Germany is investigating a Roman sanctuary in Frankfurt that could contain rare evidence of human sacrifice. The site in the ancient city of Nida in present-day Frankfurt-Heddernheim is considered one of the most important archaeological discoveries from Roman Germania and received over one million euros in funding.
