Russia Captures 1,700 Square Kilometers of Ukrainian Territory in 2026
According to the Russian Supreme Commander, Russian forces have already captured 1,700 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory in 2026 and are intensifying attacks on the fortification line in the Donbas. Since the 2022 invasion, Russia has pursued the objective of bringing the entire Donbas region in eastern Ukraine under its control.
