Russia was able to significantly increase its revenues from crude oil and refinery product sales in March 2026, after they had fallen to their lowest level since the start of the Ukraine war in 2022 in February. The recovery is primarily attributed to increased oil prices triggered by the conflict with Iran, according to the International Energy Agency (IEA).
