Ryanair threatens closure of Thessaloniki base
Irish budget airline Ryanair is reportedly considering closing its base at "Makedonia" airport in Thessaloniki at the end of the summer season. The decision is attributed to increased handling fees by Fraport Greece. This is consistent with Ryanair's known strategy of responding aggressively to fee increases.
