Wine production on Santorini has dramatically declined following three years of drought and record temperatures – grape harvest fell from 2,756 tons in 2022 to approximately 551 tons last year. The famous Greek island is struggling with water scarcity and rising costs that threaten the Assyrtiko grape harvest.
