Saudi Arabia records budget deficit of 33.5 billion dollars
Saudi Arabia reported a budget deficit of 125.7 billion rials (33.5 billion dollars) for the first quarter of 2026, as government expenditures rose by 20 percent. Total expenditures reached 386.7 billion rials in the quarter, while state revenues declined slightly compared to the same period the previous year.
