Saudi Arabia Records High Budget Deficit in Q1 2026
Saudi Arabia reported a budget deficit of 125.7 billion riyals (33.5 billion US dollars) in the first quarter of 2026. Government spending increased by 20%, while state revenues declined slightly. The higher spending is driven in part by increased military expenditures.
