Science Confirms: Lobsters Feel Pain When Cooked
A study by the University of Gothenburg shows that lobster species such as the Norway lobster (Nephrops norvegicus) can feel pain, as painkillers for humans also influence their behavior. The research findings challenge the traditional practice of cooking lobsters alive and raise ethical concerns about the previous treatment of these crustaceans.
