Scientists Refute Claims Against West African Pirate Gold
A new scientific study shows that gold from the famous pirate ship Whydah Gally was less counterfeit than European merchants claimed for a long time. Researchers analyzed gold artifacts and found that the West African pirate gold corresponds to the natural composition of ore deposits in Ghana.
