Second bathing accident in Oroklini - safety measures demanded
Following the tragic bathing accident in June 2026 off the coast of Oroklini, in which two 20-year-old Somali women died, no warning signs were posted despite written requests from authorities. The Larnaca municipality now announces it will install markings to warn swimmers of steep drop-offs and sea currents near the breakwaters.
