Sentences in Child Pornography Case Confirmed
The appeals court upheld sentences imposed on a 31-year-old for possession and acquisition of approximately 1,000 files containing child pornography. Despite the severity of the charges, the court rejected the appeal by the attorney general, who had requested higher sentences, and fully ratified the original decision of the Nicosia District Court.
