Service sector dominates European economy – Cyprus follows trend
According to Eurostat data, the service sector accounted for more than half of gross value added in EU business economy in 2024 and employed over half of the workforce. Cyprus is following this pan-European trend. The EU recorded approximately 34 million enterprises in 2024 with a total of 164.5 million employees.
