Sexual violence in Greece surges by 145%
Greece has recorded a dramatic increase in cases of sexual violence: police registered a total of 1,250 crimes of this type in 2024, compared to only 511 in 2010 – an increase of 145 percent. This represents one of the steepest increases across the entire European Union during the period examined, according to current Eurostat data.
