Shell sells Aphrodite gas field stake to MOL for up to 720 million dollars
British energy company Shell has agreed to sell its stake in the Cypriot Aphrodite gas field through its BG Cyprus unit to Hungarian oil and gas company MOL Group. The purchase price can reach up to 720 million dollars. Shell's decision is part of a strategic realignment to strengthen focus on liquefied natural gas (LNG) operations.
