Shipping Associations Call on UN to Block Hormuz Strait Fees
Eight leading shipping associations, including the International Chamber of Shipping led by Cypriot Thomas Kazakos, have called on the United Nations and the IMO to prevent the introduction of mandatory toll fees in the Strait of Hormuz. A joint open letter was sent on Monday to UN Secretary-General António Guterres. Cyprus plays an important role in this international shipping debate through Kazakos.
