Shipping sector supports international decarbonization efforts
The Cyprus Shipping Chamber reaffirms its support for international coordination to reduce ship emissions ahead of the IMO MEPC 84 meeting. The chamber warns that a fragmented regulatory framework would lead to higher costs and greater uncertainty for the industry. It supports a joint position by seven countries to harmonize decarbonization standards.
