Ships from Japan, France, and Oman Transit Strait of Hormuz
Three Omani tankers, a French container ship, and a Japanese gas carrier have transited the Strait of Hormuz since Thursday, according to shipping data. This reflects Iran's policy of allowing passage for ships deemed friendly, after Iran initially closed the strategically important route, which handles approximately one-fifth of global oil and liquefied gas flows.
