Shop Owners Call for Reopening of Makarios Avenue
Business owners and shop keepers in Nicosia are again calling for the reopening of Makarios Avenue to traffic. According to a joint platform, two of three shops along the street are empty, and the avenue has become a 'dead zone' since it was closed to vehicles.
