Smart water meters in Nicosia automatically detect leaks
The local administration authority of Nicosia district is installing 72,000 smart water meters that instantly detect leaks and notify consumers via SMS. This enables residents to repair damage before a high water bill arrives. The system replaces the previous procedure in which meter readers checked meters every two months.
