SMS Fraudster Arrested at Larnaca Airport
A 24-year-old man was arrested in Larnaca and remanded in custody for eight days. He is allegedly responsible for SMS fraud schemes in which Cypriot citizens were deceived through messages purporting to be from the General Health System (GHS) or traffic fine authorities. The man was stopped at the airport with cigars, mobile phones, and lighters.
