Smuggling of Meat from Free Areas into Occupied Zones
Several tons of meat from the Republic of Cyprus are illegally smuggled into occupied areas. During an operation, approximately six tons of meat and numerous slaughtered sheep were discovered in warehouses in Diorios and Kyrenia. Turkish Cypriot livestock breeders criticize this practice and express concerns about its impact on their production.
