Social media restrictions for minors: Legislation in preparation
Cyprus is preparing legislation to set the minimum age for creating social media accounts at 15 years. Technical solutions are to be ready by early 2027, with the process conducted in consultation with other EU states. Deputy Minister for Innovation Nikodimos Damianou explained the planned implementation.
