An international space technology conference in Paphos showcases advanced technologies that will enable Cyprus to monitor forest fires in real-time using satellite imagery and artificial intelligence. Researcher Diofantos Hadjimitsis from the Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence presented how the technology provides fire spread forecasts updated every 20 minutes with a resolution of five by five kilometers.
