Spain closes airspace to US military flights and escalates tensions
Spain has closed its airspace to US aircraft involved in attacks on Iran, as reported by Spanish newspaper El Pais citing military sources. This measure goes beyond the already implemented refusal to allow use of jointly operated military bases and forces military aircraft to fly around NATO member Spain on their way to their targets.
