Spain: Forest fire near Costa Brava destroys 22,000 hectares
A forest fire that broke out near the Costa Brava tourism resort in northeastern Spain on Friday morning was partially brought under control overnight. The fire in the Catalan coastal zone has already destroyed 22,000 hectares of land without claiming any lives. Firefighters reported having brought approximately 70 percent of the eastern area under control.
