Spirit Airlines ceases operations - consequence of Iran war
The struggling airline Spirit Airlines suspended operations on Saturday and is the first casualty of the Iran war in the aviation industry. The company was unable to secure creditor support for a planned US government bailout after jet fuel prices doubled during the two-month-old conflict. The bankruptcy will cost thousands of jobs.
