Spirit Airlines ceases operations instead of accepting rescue package
US airline Spirit Airlines has decided on liquidation rather than accept a $500 million rescue package offered by the Trump administration. Shareholders and creditors of the airline, known for its distinctive yellow aircraft, voted for immediate closure.
