Stricter Requirements for Agricultural Subsidies in 2026
The Cypriot government is significantly tightening conditions for hectare subsidies in 2026. Going forward, farmers must provide complete legal documentation for the use of state and Turkish-Cypriot land in order to receive subsidies. This ends the previous practice where cultivation without official papers was sufficient.
