An earthquake of magnitude 6.1 occurred on Saturday in the Hindu Kush region in eastern Afghanistan at a depth of approximately 100 kilometers. The tremor was distinctly felt in Kabul and northern Pakistan. Eyewitnesses reported that people fled their homes in panic, with women and children crying.
