Strongest El Niño in Over 100 Years Predicted
The British weather service Met Office warns of the strongest El Niño phenomenon observed in over a century. The natural climate phenomenon, which is intensified by human-induced global warming, will trigger extreme weather events worldwide. El Niño is a periodic warming of ocean temperatures in the eastern Pacific that occurs every two to seven years and typically lasts nine months.
