Student housing crisis: Rents skyrocket, particularly in Limassol
Finding student accommodation in Cyprus is becoming increasingly difficult as the rising number of students, limited dormitory capacity, and high rents increase pressure on students and families. According to Marinos Kynaigeirou, head of the Real Estate Agents Registration Council, demand is rising continuously, especially before the start of the semester. Limassol has become practically unaffordable for students due to extreme rents.
