Study: PFAS Chemicals Increase Leukemia Risk in Children
A new study from the University of California, Irvine shows that early exposure of children to PFAS chemicals (so-called "forever chemicals") is associated with an increased risk of acute lymphoblastic leukemia, the most common childhood cancer. The study was published in the journal "Journal of Exposure Science & Environmental Epidemiology." PFAS is found, among other places, in drinking water.
