Study: Roman Emperor Caligula Had Medical Knowledge
A new study shows that the Roman emperor Caligula, known for his violent rule and bizarre behavior, may have possessed extensive medical knowledge. Scientists from Yale University and other institutions analyzed evidence of the ancient emperor's medical knowledge. The results were documented in a paper published in 2025 in the "Proceedings of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts."
