Study: Three out of four young Cypriots do not read books
A Eurostat survey from the past two years shows that Cyprus ranks second-to-last in the EU for book reading, with only Romania performing worse. Particularly concerning is the reading rate among young Cypriots aged 16 to 25: three out of four adolescents do not read books at all. This aspect of the study has received less public discussion so far, but is even more alarming than the overall findings.
