Study: Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974 could have failed
New research sheds light on the internal Turkish perspective of the 1974 invasion and shows that the operation almost failed. The study analyzes contradictions within Turkish leadership and critical moments when the invasion could have been defeated – an aspect of history that has received little examination until now.
