Sudden cloud cover causes power outages across Cyprus
Sudden cloud cover has caused power outages in several regions of Cyprus as solar power production was interrupted. According to the Cyprus Electricity Authority (AHK), the sudden decrease in solar radiation caused photovoltaic plants to stop generating power, while demand remained high and created an imbalance in the power grid.
