Sunken Stoa in Salamis Rewrites Ancient History
Underwater excavations in Ampelaki Bay near Salamis have achieved breakthroughs with a sunken structure discovered in 2023. The 32-meter-long ruins have now been definitively identified as a classical stoa. Ongoing research led by the Greek Ephorate of Underwater Antiquities has yielded important findings about the region's ancient history.
