Support package for pig farming approved
The state aid control authority has approved a support program for the pig farming sector worth 1.65 million euros. The package of measures notified by the agricultural authority was introduced in response to the effects of foot-and-mouth disease and offers financial incentives for breeders who decide to cull pigs for population control.
